Just wondering....since we have some relatives that are thinking about (God knows why) the Villages... Does anyone know what their POA/HOA fees run????

Ray,
You also need to look at the total picture, including CCD fees, which the Villages have.

Ray, You can find all of this out at www.talkofthevillages.com
It is a VERY active forum. Quite interesting.
The bottom line is that while The Villages is not everyone's cup of tea, there are many folks who love the lifestyle it offers and are willing to pay a premium for it. Like it or not, one must agree it IS a one of a kind place.
What a great country we live in that we have so many choices and the freedom to exercise them.

Cap, Thanks for the reminder.
Frank....thanks also- and I agree. I can't think of anyone living in a 55+ community that does not love their particular community. Not sure if it's a case that there is a place for everyone- or if everyone just loves being retired!

Ray, even though this is the best time of year in Western NY....currently 78 and sunny here...I find myself so missing our Florida home. We'll be back down there for a couple of weeks in November...my Mac tells me 84 more days. Retirement looms close for me......within the next year. Currently busy getting the house ready to sell, etc...

Frank,
Yup.....same here on Long Island... I have been telling everyone that the difference between being 'down home' compared to 'up here at home', is the difference between summer camp and summer school.
