Have the Royal Harbor Property Owners Association and the Royal Harbor Developer reached agreement on the open issues that remained at transition, or have the open issues just quietly been forgotten or handled by the POA?

Great question Cap - I just posted it on our Royal Harbor website. I had heard some conversation that Pringle wanted to trade the property in front of Royal Harbor to satisfy the open issues, but that was just hearsay as I never heard that directly. It sure seemed strange that Pringle did not include the property directly in front of Royal Harbor as part of the development - maybe it was intentional and meant as leverage - just a thought.

Court date was Nov. 6th. Attorneys showed up and agreed to disagree. Judge said talk some more. Still in negotiation, no resolution yet. Don't know when next court date is.

I believe the property where the sales office was is in foreclosure as part of the Colonial fiasco. The zoning on that piece of land is questionable. The asking price was ridiculous.

Might someone enlighten me to WHO represented the residents of Royal Harbor during the transition phase? Were they picked by the developer?

Taylor & Carls, P.A. from Orlando are the attorneys. We are not happy with the performance. The transition was okay but was done when Pringle was still Pringle, before Dr. Alan Parrow. In the throes of the infrastructure litigation, things have bogged down and the attorney performance is leaving a lot to be desired.

Do not let that frontage go....! Look what happened to the front of The Plantation.......another almost empty storefront. Many folks homes, view, and values were forever changed NOT for the better. Thankfully my place was not affected like so many others.....I really feel for them.

It's my understanding, Frank, the Plantation residents didn't "let" that land go; we never owned it. But not for lack of trying - the developer refused to sell it to us.

And it's Lake County politics that has resulted in the strip mall being empty. It was fully leased a year or so ago, and then the County decided it needed more money - otherwise, no permits for use.

Yes Ellen, now that you mention it, I remember you are indeed correct. None of those folks effected ever thought that would happen. Some Greentree folks really got effected by it though.

I just happen to be on the side that does not feel the effects. I do not see anything that anyone could do to change my views, but you never know....

If the R.H. folks could insure they get EVERYTHING when things are turned over, it will be good for them.....
