I am starting get closer on finishing the side view of my dragon (I keep reminding myself that is is at least for more than one character).

I have most of the scales done but I am still working on the pattern of it. I think I will want the scales to curve more too of the shape of the body and have more different types.

Anyway I have been playing with the joints on the legs and can see I have some problems. They clearly have seams and pull out weird in some places. I am wondering if smart bones will help. Also I have been playing with the walk cycle a little. I found that not to be fun. It seems like the front legs are to short compared to the back but I can not tell for sure. I would like the dragon to have a slight waddle to its walk like an old school dinosaur (lizard like). However if it is running its movement would be more cat like.

Here are some Dragon Walk Cycles:

The run cycle be more like a lion:

In the next week I will probably sit down and learn to do an actual walk cycle when I have time. I just feel like something is a little off with the leg proportions.

You should be able to find plenty of free examples using Google image search, and maybe searching for gifs using: filetype:gif
