I actually might use some of this now -- not in my animations (for which it really isn't suited, given the comical nature of most of my stuff) but in my movies, which I'm now creating.

Yeah, indispensable resource.
He does have a funny/quirky genre: http://soundimage.org/funnyquirky/ But it takes a lot of hunting to find what might fit the need.

agreeing with everything said, for me there are some really great motifs that I'd love to use, but I'm really struggling to figure out how to explain precisely the how/what of syncing action and musical "hit points" without the score... it's dead easy in sibelius for me to annotate a score to allow the composer / arranger to make those tempo tweaks, chord / key changes, etc to marry the mood to the music ---- for me that's the missing link here.
(the "other option" of tying the action to the existing music is clearly there.. but that's not usually what I need to do... but, again agreeing with Mike, I might just try that as well as BAU...) |
