This is an extension of Selgin's smart bone speed lines/motion blur using a dynamic smart bone to automatically control the blur by the speed of the motion.

That is a fantastic idea, Wes, I like how the binding works on it.
Where is Selgin's speed line example, I'd like to see that too?

It's very interesting (I'd prefer to see the "speed lines" more traditionally drawn in terms of actual lines but I'm guessing his technique is using fills and thus probably wouldn't lend itself to that, unless some sort of style would work).

Actual speed lines could be done just as easily. This is just a fast and dirty example.
