Have been practicing art with anime studio converting clipart (SVG) to anme format. Learned a bit about 'styles', neat way to change car colors.
Zip file about 227 K contains 9 different cars sourced from openclipart.org. Unzipped nearly 3 meg.
Free to a good home, no copyright claimed. Done with Pro 8.2 and apparently not compatible for loading with earlier versions. Works fine as a library resource. (Put mine in props/my stuff)

Simple 3D boat I modeled for test use with Muvizu.
If you do the 3D import of the .obj file in Anime Studio you should use the 3D script 'auto-scale' to reduce the size. You can use the 'rotate layer xy' tool to move it about in 3D space.
Or... if you just want to view it load the .anme file.
Done with ASPro 9.5... should load with any 9.0+
My opinion... Models such as this are best positioned as you like and then traced in AS.

You are welcome. Good luck with your animations.

Never? I think Vector Magic can do a pretty decent job:

It might be noted that IMX such traced images are almost worthless in terms of animation. Yes, you can use them as static objects or backgrounds, but I would then argue that you might as well leave them as bitmaps.
And even as static objects they offer very little in the way of ability to work with as vectors -- changing colors, modifying in any meaningful way, etc. Again, much easier to work with them as bitmaps.
The only time I've ever found tracing to be at all useful was for such simple images that recreating yourself was just as easy (and more accurate). I know people are always thinking autotrace is the magic bullet for vector work but I've never seen anything that even slightly convinces me of this.

A contrast in auto-trace variance...
This is the original picture downloaded from the web as a .png
Apology to the bitmap source as I neglected to get the artist name. At the time I just wanted to look at the clever character design.
This is the picture converted as follows...
Load .png into 'Freehand 9' then auto-traced and output as a .wmf which was then converted to a .svg in 'Uniconvertor'. The .svg file then loaded into ASPro 9.5 as vectors. Rendered the vectors as a .png for this display.
Similar procedure, auto-traced in Illustrator CS2 produced this...
Image brought into ASPro 9.5 and then traced produced this...
Traced with the recently acquired 'Draw Plus'...
I have a great deal of older clip-art from a variety of companies which are in the old 'windows meta file' format. (.wmf file extension) Most allow liberal usage rights. You can't sell or give them away, but, you can use them in animations as props, etc.
Although ASPro does not load .wmf files they can be loaded as .svg files. I have found 'uniconvertor' (free on the web) useful for those conversions. for details see: http://sourceforge.net/projects/uniconvertor/

Yes, 9.5 files will open in 9.2, just none of the new features will work.

Source file(s) from experiments with Mike Kelly papagayo pad method.
Unusual (for me) design of Mouth assembly and eye... I'm trying to develop a style of my own. Could be improved with smart bones. Released to Public Domain.
Done/compatible with ASPro 9.2. About 2.3 MB due to large sound file.
