Okay, so I know that most (all) of you here are far more interested in 2D than 3D, but I would be remiss if I didn't point out some pretty great Black Friday software sales coming in other products.

In particular anyone doing 3D work needs one or both of the best painting/modeling/mapping programs out there, 3DCoat and Substance Painter. Both are heavily discounted this time of year and both are superb at making even mediocre models look stunning. I could not live without either one (and will be taking advantage of some of Allegorithmic's other software sales today to buy some more Substances).

Just to show you what Substance Painter can do -- I took a plain white model and painted it in about five minutes and here is the side by side comparison. This was also the very first time I ever used Substance Painter -- so I'll get better (but honestly, this thing is so no-brainer even someone who knows nothing about 3D modeling can make their models look professional).

(Watch it fullscreen to truly appreciate the texturing)
